Memberpress – Mailpoet

MailPoet is a plugin that allows you to keep in close contact with your leads and MemberPress members by sending beautiful email newsletters directly from your WordPress website.

The plugin lets you quickly add content and images directly from your WordPress media library, so there’s no need to upload files to third-party services. Plenty of design options and a host of email templates make managing your email newsletter simple and quick.

Step 1 – Download MailPoet plugin

Download and Install the MailPoet Newsletters plugin from WordPress.org. Then Activate the plugin.

Step 2 – Configure MailPoet settings

Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to MailPoet -> Settings.

Step 3 – Install MemberPress MailPoet Add-on

In your dashboard head to MemberPress -> Add-Ons and click to install the MailPoet add-on. Once it’s installed, activate it and you’ll see the MailPoet integration available in the “Marketing” tab of the MemberPress Settings page.

Step 4 – Select Email List

Once MailPoet has been enabled, MemberPress will connect with MailPoet and you should see and select your list from the drop-down menu as seen below:

Step 5 – Setup Per Membership lists (Optional, but STRONGLY recommended)

The Per-Membership lists are a great way to automatically segment your members into different lists for marketing purposes.

Once you have MailPoet enabled, a new option becomes available under the “Advanced” tab of the Membership edit pages. This option allows you to select a list that only members who purchase that Membership should be added to. Members will be automatically added to or removed from this list depending on their current Subscription status for this Membership. This list must be different from the Global list you have specified in the Options, and should be different from other Per-Membership lists as well.
